What is Slash Translations?

Slash Translation is incorporated by a few individuals who have extensive experience in language and legal industries, and had decided to start their own company in order to bridge the gap between overwhelmed entrepreneurs, startups and established businesses by providing them with quality translation and corporate secretarial support.

How can I request for a quotation?

You may send us an email, a Whatsapp or send us a message on our social media websites (Facebook and Instagram), and provide us with the following information:
1. From which language to which language would you like us to translate your document?
2. What are the formalities required?
a. Does it need to be certified by a lawyer or Notary?
b. Does it need to be legalized with an Apostille or Consular Service?
3. How many pages are your document?

Once you send us the abovementioned information, we will get back to you shortly with our fee quote and expected turnaround.

What makes you different from other providers?

We ensure that all our services are tailor-made to your specific needs, and that we deliver the expected service in a timely and efficient manner.

How long is the delivery date and expected turnaround?

Our response times for non-rush orders are roughly as follows:
500 words or less – 6 hours
1,000 to 2,000 words – 36 hours;
2,000 words or more – 1,500 words daily

Do you work with companies or individuals?

We can work with both enterprises and individuals, and our prices vary depending on the services request (whether in bulk or individual). We offer special prices for companies who require our translation services on a monthly basis.

How do your prices vary?

Our prices vary depending on the number of pages, the type of industry (legal, medical, and etc), the expected turnaround, and the number of pages. We may offer special prices for enterprises who require our services on a monthly basis, and also if the documents are repetitive in nature.

Are your translations acceptable overseas?

Normally, it is our standard procedure to ask carefully as to where the document is to be submitted, as different public/private entities have different requirements in terms of certification.

For your preparation, please confirm with your receiving entity the type of certification required on their side:
1. Do they require a certification by lawyer?
2. Do they require a certification by Notary?
3. Do they accept a notarized translator’s declaration?
4. Do they require an Apostille or legalization by consular service?

Who are your translators?

Our translators consist of a team of full time translators, mainly specializing in Chinese, Portuguese and English. However, we also have a pool of freelance translators and linguists who we have chosen individually and that has passed a rigorous evaluation of their language skills.

What is localization?

Localization is the process of adapting a product (such as software, a website, or a document) for a target audience in a different country, culture, or area. This allows the client’s materials to entail cultural adaptation and provides an in-depth understanding of the local culture. Localization requires more skill than regular translation because the translator delivers the message of the material as though it was written by a local or native of that language.

When and how do I pay?

All of our customers have the option to pay within 5 days after the translation has been delivered. We fully think that trust should always be reciprocal. For recurring customers, we also offer a monthly billing option. However, we may also request an advance payment for large orders.

When you receive your translation, you will also receive an electronic invoice with payment details and instructions.
